Rae Staseson is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Communication Studies at Concordia University. She is a media and performance artist and her work has been presented at such venues as the Harvard Film Archives, Anthology Film Archives, the Walker Art Center and The National Gallery of Canada. Staseson’s ongoing project, Between Sand and Snow, is an exploration of the relationship between landscape and memory and the potential power of persuasive reflection. She is interested in mediating nature through image and sound, and playing with the monumental and the miniature in order to create unusual places, spaces and experiences.
