Jayson Zaleski
Research Assistant
Jayson Zaleski is presently studying within the York University Master of Design (MDes) program. He completed his AOCAD at the Ontario College of Art and Design in 1998, and returned to obtain his degree in 2002. Jayson's design work over the past 12 years has included identity, print, online, way-finding, and publication. In conjunction with his practice he has held a teaching position at the Ontario College of Art and Design within the design program for the past seven years. A brief hiatus for one year allowed him a teaching contract in Alberta. Lately, he has become increasingly involved in collaboratively developing a body of design work and research initiatives with a community of designers within the Kolor collective. His recent interest in design involves a critical approach to deciphering the relationships between space and the symbols, messages, and communications which support the production of spaces within the urban context.
